SOCIABILITY LEVEL TWO
Ready for the next step? This group is for people who have finished Level 1, or who already feel okay with basic social skills. We will talk about harder social situations—like tricky friendships—and help you feel more confident doing things on your own.
DEEPENING RELATIONSHIPS
Now that you know the basics of making friends, are you ready for the next big adventure?
As we grow up, our relationships change. And sometimes, that can feel a little confusing or overwhelming! Have you ever wondered:
What do I do if a friend starts to feel like MORE than a friend? Like a boyfriend or a girlfriend?
How do I act when I get a job? What is the right way to talk to my boss and my co-workers?
These are big, exciting steps in life! Knowing how to handle them helps us feel safe, respected, and proud of ourselves.
Welcome to Sociability Level 2. We are taking everything you learned in Level 1 and going deeper. This is your safe space to practice romance, work life, and big conversations with people who care about you.
THE DETAILS
Who is it for? People (16+) who find social situations overwhelming. Sociability is designed for neurodiverse individuals and varying levels of support needs.
Please note, participants with higher support needs may need to bring along a support person to help them engage with the content (i.e., help with reading and writing).
How? 1.5 hour group session, each week for 12 weeks.
What? Each week, you will meet with an instructor and other members of your group. Together, you will learn how to navigate changes in your social circles based on real-life scenarios. For example, we will cover how to handle friendship breakups, set healthy boundaries with people you want to keep at a distance, and build the confidence to manage your evolving relationships.
