A psychologist-led group for young adults (13–25) focused on building mental resilience, psychological flexibility, and practical tools to handle life’s challenges.

Your Life, Your Way: A Group Experience  

Is life feeling too loud or too busy? Do you ever feel stressed out, overwhelmed, or tired from trying so hard? It is completely okay to feel this way. And you do not have to handle it all by yourself.

Welcome to Your Life, Your Way which is a safe place to slow down and take a breath. In this program, we accept you exactly as you are. We will help you learn new skills to handle hard things and make life easier.

What to Expect in the "Act Your Life Your Way" Program

Each week, you will meet with a psychologist and other peers to learn and practice new, evidence-based skills using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). You might be wondering, what exactly is ACT? It is a proven, science-backed way to help you feel happier and less stressed. Instead of just sitting in a chair and talking about your problems (which can feel boring or heavy), this program is hands-on, fun, and active.

What a Typical Weekly Lesson Looks Like

We respect your energy levels and learning style. In any given session, you can expect:

  • Skill Building: We will introduce a new, practical tool each week to help you handle thoughts and emotions.

  • Active Practice: You won't just listen; you will actively try out these skills in a safe space. We use multiple ways to engage, meaning you might learn through doing a hands-on activity, creating something, or participating in a discussion. You participate at your own pace and in whatever way feels most comfortable for you.

  • Built-in Brain Breaks: Sessions include scheduled pauses to let you rest and reset.

THE DETAILS

Who is this for? This program is for young people (ages 13 to 25), including NDIS participants. The program is run by a friendly psychologist - and you can bring along a support person to help you feel more comfortable too! 

How? 1.5-hour session per week for 12 weeks.

Where? The Therapy Studio, 122 Flora St, Sutherland NSW 2232

Cost: $1940 (for 12 weeks)

A Note on Starting: We need a small group of friends to start together. If the group isn't full yet, don't worry! We will save your name on our special list and invite you in the very moment the next group is ready to start.
